Last month, the number of economically active population aged 15-72 years (employed unemployed persons) amounted to 75,4 million people, or more than 53% of the total population. At the same time in the economically active population of 69.2 million people classified as employed in economic activity and 6.2 million people - as unemployed using the ILO criteria (ie, had no job or gainful employment, seeking work and were ready to begin her surveyed in a week).
 

Experts point out that compared to November 2009 employed population decreased by 159 thousand, or 0.2%, the number of unemployed has increased by 42 thousand persons or 0,7%. The employment and increase unemployment in December due to the influence of the seasonality factor, says Rosstat.
