Belarus has refused to participate in the CSTO summit
Belarus will not participate in the CSTO summit in Moscow, told the press secretary of Foreign Ministry of Belarus Andrei Popov. He noted that Belarus is based on the need for an integrated approach to the consolidation of collective security in the CSTO.
One of the imperative must be to strengthen mutual economic security of members of the Collective Security Treaty Organization. In this context, we particularly welcome breakthrough solutions in the framework of the Eurasian Economic Community, at the same time, to our great regret, in the Collective Security Treaty Organization to become a reality very negative developments in the field economic cooperation , - said Belarusian diplomat.
Currently, we are witnessing open economic discrimination by one of the Collective Security Treaty Organization against Belarus on major commodity group. Such actions undermine the objective economic security - that is the main source of stability and, consequently, an integrated and comprehensive security, - added he.
Popov noted that Belarus does not have information on the introduction of the ban on import of dairy products in relation to any other states.
In this situation, Belarus, expected before the last date of the abolition of the discriminatory ban and resolve the issue in accordance with applicable international agreements, the order was forced to take a decision on the abolition of its participation in the CSTO session June 14 in Moscow, - he said.
Earlier that Belarus does not participate in the CSTO summit, said a source in the presidential administration of Belarus.
