Transneft started welding ESPO-2
“Transneft” has started to pipe welding in the framework of the second stage of construction of the pipeline system Eastern Siberia - Pacific Ocean (ESPO-2), the company reported.
At 3806 km ESPO route, near the station of the Institute of the Jewish Autonomous Region welded the first 180 meters of the route ESPO-2. The work is 100% subsidiary of Transneft - OOO “Transneftstroy” column “Omskneftegazspetsstroy.
The project has already shipped from the factory 37 kilometers of pipes, arrived at the facility and razvezeno along the road about 3 km.
ESPO built to transport oil to the market of the Asia-Pacific region. The project is expected to be implemented in twf4fo phases. The first phase of the system was put into operation in late December 2009. The first stage was built pipeline section Taishet (Irkutsk region) - Skovorodino (2694 km) and an oil terminal on the Pacific coast - port Kozmino. From Skovorodino to the Pacific Ocean oil transported by rail. The second phase will build the pipeline Skovorodino - Pacific coast with an increase in marine terminal facilities.
The first stage of ESPO-2 provided for construction of 8 oil pumping stations with a total volume of the tank farm of 300 thousand cubic meters, the reconstruction of NPS “Skovorodino with the increase of the tank farm at 150 thousand cubic meters, increasing SMNP” Kozmino with the increase of the tank farm at 150 thousand cubic meters.
For practical realization of the project created two subsidiaries with the location in Khabarovsk: OOO “Far construction management”, which serves as owner-developer, and JSC “Far Eastern oil pipeline transport” (OOO “Dalnefteprovod”), acting as investor pipeline, and in the future - the operating organization.
